Life is worth Racing for. Enter Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life and raise money for life-saving cancer research.
Get ready for an unforgettable day out as you climb, crawl and slide your way around the Pretty Muddy® 5k obstacle course! Sign up as a group with friends and family, or go solo and join hundreds of people on the day. There's no pressure to finish in a certain time, so take it your own pace, get muddy and enjoy the atmosphere. However you take part, you're helping to beat cancer.

Once you sign up for your Pretty Muddy® event, you'll receive an email with all the need-to-know details to help you feel fully prepared for the day.
The start line is on grass, next to the Regatta Lake at Nottingham Holme Pierrepont, under the score board.
The finish line is on grass, leading you back towards the event site and start line.

Please listen out for your start time to gather in front of the stage for a gentle warm-up and course instructions.
By car:
General Event Parking: Please follow the brown signs for the venue 'National Water Sports Centre'. There is car parking at the venue and stewards will be in place to direct you to specific car parks.
We advise you arrive at least 30 – 40 minutes before your start time to allow ample time to park your vehicle and walk around the regatta lake to the start area.
There is a car parking charge for the event £5 payable per car on arrival with the venues ANPR system. You can pay this via the QR code found around the car park and event site. Parking arrangements are subject to change.
Car Parking is limited so we advise car sharing where possible please.
Drop Offs: There is no designated drop off area.
Blue Badge Parking: There is no designated blue badge parking.
Volunteer Parking: Parking is available for volunteers on site. Confirmation will be received prior to the event from the event manager.
Electric Charging points: There are none available at this event.
Public transport and pedestrians:
Pedestrians: This event is not easily accessible on foot.
Bus: There are limited public transport options to this venue, we recommend car sharing where possible.
Train: There is no train station near to this event.

Due to the nature of Pretty Muddy, this event is not wheelchair accessible but the below information might be useful for specators.
Event Site:
The start and finish areas are on a mixture of grass and hardstanding paths, which is flat and firm underfoot. [In wet weather, the ground may become soft.
Parking:
Blue Badge parking is not available. See Travel Information for further details. On arrival please inform the stewarding team who will locate you to the closest car park available to the event site.
Pretty Muddy® events start times are staggered in 'waves', each wave starts every 15 minutes to ensure you're safe on the course. If you're signed up as a group, please make sure you sign up for the same wave time.
Climb, crawl and slide your way around the course at your own pace. We want you to tackle every obstacle the best you can, but if you need to skip to the next one our marshals will be on hand to assist. Find out more about Pretty Muddy® obstacles.
To be part of the action, you must be 13 years of age or older at the time of your event. We've got something special for our young participants too - check out our Pretty Muddy® Kids events for kids aged 12 and under!
