Life is worth Racing for. Enter Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life and raise money for life-saving cancer research.
Race for Life 10k is a more challenging event, but without any pressure. Take it at your own pace and enjoy the atmosphere, or push yourself a little more. The events are chip-timed, so you can find out if you’ve beaten your personal best! Sign up as a group with friends and family, or go solo and join hundreds of people on the day. However you take part, you’re helping to beat cancer.
The start and finish are on grass. The course is mainly on roads but includes one large incline. The first 1km is on grass.

The start and finish lines are situated on the main playing fields of Holyrood Park.

Event/ Blue Badge & Volunteer Parking: There is no parking available at this event. Please use city centre car parks and allow plenty of time.
Drop Offs: There is no drop off point for this event.

Public transport and pedestrians:
Pedestrians: All pedestrian routes to the park are open.
Bus: There are a number of buses that service Holyrood Park, only a short walk from the start line. Find help planning your journey here.
Train: The closet train station is Edinburgh Waverely.

The course is wheelchair accessible however there is a steep incline on the route that may require some assistance.
We aim for maximum accessibility at our events. Our contact centre and on-site team are ready to assist with any needs or questions you may have.
Sunflower wristbands are available at the enquiries marquee, and our Event Managers are trained Dementia Friends.
A QR code will be available on the main event site to access British Sign Language stage content for those who use BSL.
