Life is worth Racing for. Enter Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life and raise money for life-saving cancer research.
Race for Life 10k is a more challenging event, but without any pressure. Take it at your own pace and enjoy the atmosphere, or push yourself a little more. The events are chip-timed, so you can find out if you’ve beaten your personal best! Sign up as a group with friends and family, or go solo and join hundreds of people on the day. However you take part, you’re helping to beat cancer.
The start is on grass in line with the children's play area outside the Jungle Parc and Forest Cafe.
The course is on a mixture of tarmacked paths and woodland trails. Due to the nature of the venue, the route does involve some hills, uneven ground, twists and turns and all adds to the challenge and fun. The 10k is a double lap route.
The finish is on grass, a little further up from the start line near the large oak tree.

Once you sign up for your Race for Life event, you'll receive an email with all the need-to-know details to help you feel fully prepared for the day.

By car:
General Event Parking: We will be providing free of charge parking on grass for all participants and spectators within Lydiard Park in a specific area. Please enter the car park via the gate off of Hook Street. You can use the free what3words app and enter ///twins.solve.envisage to find the exact location. Note that is not the usual entrance you would use for Lydiard Park. Continue past the Lydiard Park signposted entrance for 300m, where you will see car parking signage and a steward to direct you into the car park. Normal parking charges will apply to the rest of Lydiard Park, so please ensure you follow the temporary event signage to ensure you do not have to pay. To access this event parking, please follow signs for Lydiard Park (via Hook Street), not signs for Lydiard House. Parking is not permitted on or via Hay Lane by Lydiard House).

We recommend the course is wheelchair accessible but with assistance. The route is mostly on gravel trail paths that are flat. Around 1km there is a sharp incline into the woods. Please note that there is an accessible alternative to follow the track along the lake, there will be signage to highlight this. Some of the route is on grass outside Lydiard House, but then returns to gravel tracks for the rest of the route.
We aim for maximum accessibility at our events. Our contact centre and on-site team are ready to assist with any needs or questions you may have.
Sunflower wristbands are available at the enquiries marquee, and our Event Managers are trained Dementia Friends.
A QR code will be available on the main event site to access British Sign Language stage content for those who use BSL.
