Life is worth Racing for. Enter Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life and raise money for life-saving cancer research.
Race for Life 3k is ideal for families or groups doing their first Race for Life. It's a fun, achievable and an unforgettable day out! Sign up as a group with friends and family, or go solo and join hundreds of people on the day. There's no pressure to finish in a certain time, so walk, jog or run at your own pace and enjoy the atmosphere. However you take part, you're helping to beat cancer.
The start and finish are on grass. The course is in fields and woodland and comes with challenging cross-country terrain. There are some steep inclines to challenge you.
Click here to see the Course Map. Please note, this is subject to change.

Once you sign up for your Race for Life event, you'll receive an email with all the need-to-know details to help you feel fully prepared for the day.
The start and finish can be found in the field opposite the Lower Lodges EAST Car Park.

By Car:
We are kindly asking, where possible, that participants and spectators travel via public transport or use the Pick Up / Drop Off option, as parking is limited and will operate on a first come, first served basis.
General Event Parking:
The University of Sussex have kindly allowed us access to Car Park 1 and Car Park 6 for the duration of our event. All other university parking facilities will be in use for a conference and tournament taking place on the same days.
Please access parking via the Kings Gate Road entrance to the University of Sussex only and follow the signs for “Race for Life Parking”. Event stewards will be on hand to direct you to the correct car parks.
Parking charges will apply. It is the responsibility of the driver to pay for parking upon arrival via the PayByPhone website or app for the full duration of your stay. ANPR cameras are in operation, and failure to pay may result in a penalty issued by the parking operator.
Drop Offs:
We have a designated Pick Up / Drop Off area for the event located at the University of Sussex Sports Centre. Please access this area via the Stony Mere Way entrance to Stanmer Park and the University of Sussex only and follow the signs for “Race for Life Pick Up / Drop Off ONLY”.
The event site is just a 1–2 minute walk from this area. This zone is for short stops only to help keep traffic flowing smoothly. Please follow steward instructions and do not leave vehicles unattended.
Blue Badge Parking:
Accessible parking is available inside the park at Lower Lodges Car Park West, accessed via Stony Mere Way.
Volunteer Parking:
Volunteer parking arrangements will be confirmed by the Event Manager in pre‑event email communications.

The Brighton and Hove Breeze Bus Service (Route 78) provides access to Stanmer Park, arriving at Stanmer Park Gates (approximately a 2‑minute walk from the event site) every 15 minutes on Sundays. Buses 25 and 28 also run at weekends and stop within a 5‑minute walk of the event site.
Train:
A footpath leads to Stanmer Park from Falmer Station’s main entrance (the entrance by the ticket office). The walk is approximately 8 minutes (0.4 miles).
