Life is worth Racing for. Enter Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life and raise money for life-saving cancer research.
Race for Life 10k is a more challenging event, but without any pressure. Take it at your own pace and enjoy the atmosphere, or push yourself a little more. The events are chip-timed, so you can find out if you’ve beaten your personal best! Sign up as a group with friends and family, or go solo and join hundreds of people on the day. However you take part, you’re helping to beat cancer.
The start and finish are on hardstanding and the elevation is predominantly flat. The Course is entirely on surfaced paths along the promenade. Some sections of the course narrow slightly due to the event being on the seafront the course can accumulate sand.

The Start and Finish are located within Rhyl Events Arena.

By car:
General Event Parking: If travelling by car parking is available at Rhyl Central Car Park, West Parade, Rhyl LL18 1HD. The journey from this entrance to the event site is a short walk approximately 500m's, on entirely flat, surfaced paths.
Blue Badge Parking: Blue badge parking is available at Rhyl Pavilion Theatre, East Parade, Rhyl, LL18 3AQ. The journey from this entrance to the event site is approximately 300m’s away.
Volunteer Parking: Volunteer parking is available at Rhyl Central Car Park.
Electric Charging points: The nearest charge point is on Morley Road, LL18 3HD.
Public transport and pedestrians:
Pedestrians: The closest entrance to the event site for pedestrians on foot is on East Parade.
Bus: If travelling by public transport the nearest bus stop is located at The Garden of Remembrance and is approximately 200m’s away from the event site.
Train: The nearest station is Rhyl station, only a 10 minute walk away from the Rhyl Arena.
Cycling & Bike Racks: There are none available at this event.

We have assessed this route and concluded it is wheelchair accessible, due to it’s flat nature. As the event is on the seafront the course can accumulate sand. Please refer to the "Course Description" and "Travel notes" sections to help you make an informed decision based on your own specific needs.
We aim for maximum accessibility at our events. Our contact centre and on-site team are ready to assist with any needs or questions you may have.
Sunflower wristbands are available at the enquiries marquee, and our Event Managers are trained Dementia Friends.
A QR code will be available on the main event site to access British Sign Language stage content for those who use BSL.
