Life is worth Racing for. Enter Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life and raise money for life-saving cancer research.
Race for Life 10k is a more challenging event, but without any pressure. Take it at your own pace and enjoy the atmosphere, or push yourself a little more. The events are chip-timed, so you can find out if you’ve beaten your personal best! Sign up as a group with friends and family, or go solo and join hundreds of people on the day. However you take part, you’re helping to beat cancer.
The main event site is on grass. The course is a mixed terrain including grass and pathways.

The start line is located on the playing fields in front of The National Swimming Academy.

By car:
General Event Parking: Parking is available within the campus car parks. Please follow the signs and directions from the stewards on the day.
Drop Offs: There are no designated drop off points. Lots of on site parking.
Blue Badge Parking: Is available on site. Follow signs to blue badge parking in front of swimming pool.
Volunteer Parking: Parking is available within the campus car parks. Please follow the signs and directions from the stewards on the day.
Electric Charging points: Available on site at car park next to INTO building.
Public transport and pedestrians:
Pedestrians: You can walk into the University campus by foot. The campus is open 24/7.
Bus: A regular bus service is also in operation that will take you through the university grounds.
Train: Stirling train station is approximately a 40 minute walk, or Bridge of Allan train station is approximately a 25 minute walk.
Cycling & Bike Racks: Lots of bike racks situated throughout campus. Closest to the event site is in front of the sports centre.

Event Site:
The start and finish areas are on grass football pitch, which is flat and soft underfoot. In wet weather, the ground may become soft or muddy.
Course:
The route includes tarmac and gravel paths and is a double lap, with possible congestion along the loch.
In poor weather, gravel may become lose and may become slippery, which could increase the level of assistance required.
There are also inclines at hill after running track, with a maximum gradient of 8%, plus narrow sections around the loch. An alternative route can bypass these bu
