Life is worth Racing for. Enter Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life and raise money for life-saving cancer research.
Race for Life 5k is a great first challenge, no matter your age or fitness level. Go solo and join hundreds of people on the day, or sign up as a group with friends and family. There's no pressure to finish in a certain time, so walk, jog or run at your own pace and enjoy the atmosphere! However you take part, you're helping to beat cancer.
The start and finish is on a tarmac path located on the Showground. The course is on mix of road, tarmac pathways and grass. Route follows paths and fields around the showground.

Once you sign up for your Race for Life event, you'll receive an email with all the need-to-know details to help you feel fully prepared for the day.
The start and finish is within the grounds of Westpoint Arena.

By car:
General Event Parking: Car parking is available within Westpoint, Exeter. Queues likely: please allow extra time for your journey.
Drop Offs: Drop off point available within Westpoint Exeter.
Blue Badge Parking: Disabled & Accessible parking is available within Westpoint, Exeter.
Volunteer Parking: Car parking is available within Westpoint, Exeter.

Public transport and pedestrians:
Pedestrians: Pedestrian access to Westpoint from the A3052 is through the Orange Gate of Westpoint Arena.
Bus: The number 9 or 52 bus from Exeter city centre runs approximately every hour on Sundays. The journey time is around 20 minutes and Westpoint is a request stop. For more information please visit www.stagecoachbus.com.
Train: The closest train station Exeter St David’s and is 6 miles from the venue.

The Exeter 5k route includes a total ascent of 41.6m across the complete route, covering a mixture of tarmac pathways, roads and a significant portion on grass.
Due to the nature of the terrain we recommend that this route is not wheelchair accessible.
We aim for maximum accessibility at our events. Our contact centre and on-site team are ready to assist with any needs or questions you may have.
Sunflower wristbands are available at the enquiries marquee, and our Event Managers are trained Dementia Friends.
A QR code will be available on the main event site to access British Sign Language stage content for those who use BSL.
