Opening hours are Monday to Friday 8am - 8pm, or Saturday and Sunday 9am - 5pm. We are closed on Mondays between 11:00 - 12:00.

Frequently Asked Questions

Other frequently asked questions

Race for Life is open to everyone. Men and women of all backgrounds and abilities can take part and help us to beat cancer. We try to make as many of our events as possible wheelchair friendly, but it won’t always be possible - please check event details for more specific information.

Children under the age of 16 are welcome to take part, but must be entered by their parent/ guardian or someone who has permission of the parent/ guardian.

Dogs are welcome at some events, please check the specific event details for more information.

Our events are suitable for everyone, no matter what your ability. People who take part in the Race for Life are not athletes or superstars - they’re normal people coming together to make a difference.
There’s no pressure to jog or run, in fact you can go as slow as you like because everyone wins the Race for Life - except cancer.
Check out the “About our events” section for more on what to expect.

Our events are suitable for all participants, with no training needed.
If you’d like to do something to prepare, we recommend checking out our “Getting ready for your event” page, full of top tips for making the most of your Race for Life.

The entry fee covers the cost of organising our events, so that we can make sure every penny of your fundraising goes straight towards Cancer Research UK’s life saving work.
Your entry fee will pays for venue hire, toilet hire, medals, marquees, signage, on-site medical facilities and your race pack and communications.

Toilets are provided, but unfortunately there won’t be showers or changing room facilities. There may be baby changing facilities, please check with the specific event venue for confirmation.
There will always be medical care on site on the day. This will be clearly visible, but if you’re unsure simply head to the enquiries marquee for assistance.
Most Race for Life events will offer refreshments and catering outlets (at a cost to the participants), but there are a handful of events which cannot offer onsite catering. Please bring your own drinks and snacks with you just in case.
Water will be provided at all locations, but do bring your own as well to ensure you remain hydrated.
Due to security concerns, there are no lockers, but there will be a bag drop at Pretty Muddy events.

Your entry fee only covers the cost of putting on your Race for Life event, and we rely on your fundraising to support our life-saving research. Head to our fundraising ideas page for some brilliantly fun ways to raise money.

Unfortunately, we will not be running Hike, Marathon or Half Marathon events in 2019. We owe it to our supporters to ensure that our events raise as much money as possible for our life saving research, and these events are no longer viable.

However, if you’d like to hike or run for Cancer Research UK, there are plenty of third party events you can get involved with.

It is occasionally possible to enter on the day depending on the event’s capacity. Please check with the event manager for specific event information. Remember though, your entry fee only covers the cost of putting on your event and we rely exclusively on fundraising to support our research.
