We revisit our venue strategy on an annual basis and before we proceed with any new events, we must review the following elements and consider the cost efficiency:
- Do we need a new event in the suggested location?
- Is there is enough event capacity in the surrounding races?
- Does the new suggested location fulfil our socio demographic needs?
It is only possible to hold an event overseas if you are a school.
Unfortunately it is not possible to organise your own Race for Life event. However if you are interested in holding a “fun run” in your workplace or local community, you can register online here.
Once you have done this, you will then be contacted by our Central Fundraising Team who will be able to fully support you with help and advice and provide any Cancer Research UK branded materials that might be useful for your fundraising.
We review all of our events on an annual basis and before we proceed with any new events, we must consider a number of elements including cost efficiency. Race for Life raises money to fund life-saving research. So we owe it to our participants and supporters to ensure that we raise as much money as possible in the most cost-efficient way across the UK.
The app is currently being developed for 2017. Follow us on Facebook and Twitter to find out when it will be ready for download. It will still be free and available for iPhone and Android devices.
All Race for Life packs are being sent out to participants from April 2017. We appreciate this is slightly later than previous years, but this is because we have been working on updating the technology that surrounds Race for Life, and it has resulted in us having to send race pack out later. Please do not worry; you will receive your race pack in time for your event. We hope you will support us with these changes, and remember you can start your fundraising at any time. Visit our fundraising page for tips and to download a sponsorship form to get started.
