Life is worth Racing for. Enter Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life and raise money for life-saving cancer research.
Race for Life 10k is a more challenging event, but without any pressure. Take it at your own pace and enjoy the atmosphere, or push yourself a little more. The events are chip-timed, so you can find out if you’ve beaten your personal best! Sign up as a group with friends and family, or go solo and join hundreds of people on the day. However you take part, you’re helping to beat cancer.
Alyn Waters Country Park is a scenic nature spot with woodlands, meadows, and riverside trails along the River Alyn. For this 10km event you will complete two laps of a 5km course. Each lap starts with around 2km on grass, before heading off into the woodland on gravel paths. It is a mainly flat course, but there are one or two very small sharp climbs in the woods.

Once you sign up for your Race for Life event, you'll receive an email with all the need-to-know details to help you feel fully prepared for the day.
The start and finish is located on the main field, directly next to the event car park, which is on the right as you enter through the main gates.

General Event Parking: There is free parking available. Please follow the directional signage and steward instructions.
Drop Offs: Free drop off is available at this event.

Public transport and pedestrians:
Pedestrians: There are various pedestrian access points around the park.
Bus: Bus route 33 runs from Wrexham Bus Station and stops at Llay Cemetery, which is 0.2miles away from the event site.
Train: The nearest train station is Gwersyllt, a 1.6 mile walk away from the event site. Alternatively you can jump on the number 33 bus from the station to Llay Cemetery, which is 0.2miles away from the event site.
Cycling & Bike Racks: There are no bike storage facilities at this event.
