Race for Life 10k is a more challenging event, but without any pressure. Take it at your own pace and enjoy the atmosphere, or push yourself a little more. The events are chip-timed, so you can find out if you’ve beaten your personal best! Sign up as a group with friends and family, or go solo and join hundreds of people on the day. However you take part, you’re helping to beat cancer.
The start and finish are on the grass area adjacent to Arrow Valley Park car park next to the leisure centre. The course is on a mixture of terrain. The 10k course is a double lap of the 5k route that runs along the woodland areas, lake and fields of Arrow Valley Park.

Event Site: The start and finish areas are both on the same grass field.
Course: We would advise that the route is mostly flat and on paths, so is suitable for wheelchair users with assistance. However, there are a couple of grass sections that would be unsuitable if we had poor weather. In this case the course would be slightly shorter.
We aim for maximum accessibility at our events. Our contact centre and on-site team are ready to assist with any needs or questions you may have.
Sunflower wristbands are available at the enquiries marquee, and our Event Managers are trained Dementia Friends.
