The Wirral 5K course takes a scenic route through Birkenhead Park. Featuring predominantly flat footpaths and some grass areas. It gives some stunning views of the picturesque park. Please arrive 30 to 45 minutes before your start time so that you are prepared and ready to go on time.
There will not be any water refill stations along the course so if you require water during the event, please remember to bring your own reusable water bottle already filled up. A ScottishPower water refill station will be available to use at the finish.

Our courses have been measured with a measuring wheel. This is the most accurate measurement method and may not always correspond with digital tracking apps and watches.
The meeting point is on the Night Pasture, just off Park Drive. Following Park Drive from the main entrance off Ashville Road, continue past the Visitor Centre. After a 5 minute walk, the Night Pasture is on your right. The finish line will also be within the similar vacinity.

There is no official Race for Life parking at the venue so please use the surrounding area and on-street parking. Please do park carefully and be considerate of the residents.
The nearest station is Birkenhead Park train station, which is less than a 5 minute walk from the venue.

We would advise that this event is accessible for wheelchair users with assistance. The majority of the route is on hardstanding paths and some grass area's. The event site is on grass and can get quite boggy in wet weather, so please be aware.
