Life is worth Racing for. Enter Cancer Research UK's Race for Life and raise money for life-saving cancer research.
The 5k is an achievable distance and a good first challenge for most people. At just over 3 miles it can take about an hour to walk on average, but there's no pressure to finish in a certain time. Go at your own pace to help fund life-saving cancer research.

You can take part in any Race for Life event as an individual or a group to raise money for life-saving research. Walk, jog or run together in a group or go solo at your own pace, or lead the way as a Group Leader and get family, friends and colleagues involved! However you choose to take part, you’re helping to beat cancer.
Shake off any pre-Race nerves and get moving with our fun warm-up session just before your event.
Bring along as many supporters as you like to cheer you on! We’ve got things for everyone to do, check out the Location section above to see what’s happening on the day.
After you've completed the course, stay on and celebrate with other participants, friends and family with a picnic in the park.

Please be aware that some Sat Nav systems provide the incorrect directions using our postcode, we recommend following the directions below.
From the South:
Take the Stamford B1081 exit on the A1 signposted to Burghley House, turn left on to the B1081 towards Stamford.
Follow the road alongside the estate wall and continue past the impressive Bottle Lodges gates down towards Stamford town.
Turn right just past the Bull & Swan Pub and continue for 1 mile along Barnack Road (B1443). You will see the Visitors' Entrance on the right.
From the North:
Follow the A1 south past Doncaster and Grantham.
Approximately 30 minutes south of Grantham you will reach the Stamford junction (B1081), signposted to Burghley House.
Turn left towards Stamford.
Follow the road past the estate wall and continue past the impressive Bottle Lodges gates towards Stamford town.
Turn right just past the Bull & Swan Pub and continue for 1 mile along Barnack Road (B1443). You will see the Visitors’ Entrance on the right.
General Event Parking: Please follow blue signs to Burghley House and entre via the main entrance. Follow the signage and the stewards’ directions towards the on-site car park.
Blue Badge Parking: The stewards at the on-site car park will direct you to the nearest available space closest to the event site.
Volunteer Parking: Please follow blue signs to Burghley House and entre via the main entrance. Follow the signage and the stewards’ directions towards the on-site car park.

Public transport and pedestrians:
Pedestrians: Burghley House entrance is around 1 mile walk from Stamford town centre
Bus: Local bus service operated by Delaine stops opposite the Main Visitor Entrance on Barnack Road. From here it is approximately 600m to The House entrance. For more timetables and further information visit Delaine Buses.
Train: The closest station is Stamford, approximately half a mile from the entrance to the Parkland and 1.5 miles to Burghley House.
Cycling & Bike Racks: Once you're here, we have bike racks for you to use close to the entrance to the House, Gardens and Adventure Play.
