Life is worth Racing for. Enter Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life and raise money for life-saving cancer research.
Looking for more of a challenge without any pressure? Race for Life 10k is for you! Our 10k events are now chip-timed, so you can find out if you’ve beaten your personal best – while you’re raising funds to help beat cancer. 10k is just over 6 miles. Take it at your own pace or push yourself a little more. Have fun with it and enjoy the atmosphere.
The Cheltenham 10K route starts infront of the Grandstand where it runs along the perimeter of Cheltenham’s famous racecourse, crossing the course and looping through the interior and extending fields and returning to the event site to the finish.
A picturesque venue in the heart of the Cotswolds and a perfect place to take part in Race for Life.
The start is on tarmac, located infront of the grandstand buildings.
The course is on a combination of grass, woodchip and paths, which circles and is contained within the racecourse.

Please remember to bring your own water bottle already filled as there will be no bottled water provided at events. There will be a water refill station 1/2 around the course and a ScottishPower water refill station will be available to use at the finish

You can take part in any Race for Life event as an individual or a group to raise money for life-saving research. Walk, jog or run together in a group or go solo at your own pace, or lead the way as a Group Leader and get family, friends and colleagues involved! However you choose to take part, you’re helping to beat cancer.
Shake off any pre-Race nerves and get moving with our fun warm-up session just before your event.
Bring along as many supporters as you like to cheer you on! We’ve got things for everyone to do, check out the Location section above to see what’s happening on the day.
After you've completed the course, stay on and celebrate with other participants, friends and family with a picnic in the park.

General Event Parking: Free parking is available at the Racecourse. Please follow the stewards directions. The access to the start line is through Gate 21. This is approx 100m away from the start line.

The 10k event is not wheelchair accessible due to the terrain being uneven with inclines.

A British Sign Language Interpreter will be availble on stage whilst our event host is speaking.
If you feel you might need extra help at the event please do pick up a badge at the Blue Enquires Marquee so that our crew and volunteers can look out for you and check you are OK.
