Life is worth Racing for. Enter Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life and raise money for life-saving cancer research.
Race for Life 10k is a more challenging event, but without any pressure. Take it at your own pace and enjoy the atmosphere, or push yourself a little more. The events are chip-timed, so you can find out if you’ve beaten your personal best! Sign up as a group with friends and family, or go solo and join hundreds of people on the day. However you take part, you’re helping to beat cancer.
The start and finish is on grass. The course is on tarmac, grass and gravel, following the coastal cycle path.

General Event Parking: Chargable parking is available at Festival Fields Car Park, please look out for the stewards and signage on the day. Charges apply - book ahead of time through the Mipermit app, parking code 715039.

Blue Badge Parking: Chargable Blue badge parking is available at the event approx.100m from the start line at Festival Fields Car Park. Please look out for the stewards and signage on the day. Charges apply - book ahead of time through the Mipermit app, parking code 715039.

Electric Charging points: The closest car charging area is, Crown Parade, Bridge St, Llanelli SA15 3LG, this is 1.2 miles away from the event site, approx. 30min walk.
Public transport and pedestrians:
Pedestrians: If you are walking to the event, the event site can be located within festival fields car park and the water park. Please stick to the main path and head towards the amphitheatre.
Bus: Unfortunately there are no buses running on Sunday.
Train: The closest train station is Llanelli Train station, which is 1.6miles away, approx. 35min walk.
Cycling & Bike Racks: There are none available at this event.

The event site is on firm grass and is unlikely to be affected by bad weather, it is surrounded by tarmac also. The majority of the course is on hardstanding with a steep slope of 30% and on some grass. This course is accessible for wheelchair users with assistance due to the steep hill and the small section of the course being on grass which can be affected by poor weather.
The whole 10k course has a total ascent of 41m.
We aim for maximum accessibility at our events. Our contact centre and on-site team are ready to assist with any needs or questions you may have.
Sunflower wristbands are available at the enquiries marquee, and our Event Managers are trained Dementia Friends.
A QR code will be available on the main event site to access British Sign Language stage content for those who use BSL.
