Life is worth Racing for. Enter Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life and raise money for life-saving cancer research.
Race for Life 3k is ideal for families or groups doing their first Race for Life. It's a fun, achievable and an unforgettable day out! Sign up as a group with friends and family, or go solo and join hundreds of people on the day. There's no pressure to finish in a certain time, so walk, jog or run at your own pace and enjoy the atmosphere. However you take part, you're helping to beat cancer.
The start and finish are entirely on hardstanding terrain.
The course is on entirely tarmac path, the outbound leg is sloping downhill and the return leg has an uphill gradient.

Once you sign up for your Race for Life event, you'll receive an email with all the need-to-know details to help you feel fully prepared for the day.
The start and finish lines are located in front of Haigh Hall.

General Event Parking: Event parking is available at the main car parks of Haigh Woodland Park. A charge of £3 per car is applicable.
Drop Offs: There is no designated drop off point.
Blue Badge Parking: There are a number of blue badge spaces within the main car park of Haigh Woodland Park.
Volunteer Parking: Event parking is available at the main car parks of Haigh Woodland Park.
Electric Charging points: No electric charging points at this event.
Public transport and pedestrians:
Pedestrians: Pedestrians can access the site via the main car park of Haigh Woodland Park which is approx. 250m from the event site.
Bus: The nearest bus station is Wigan Bus Station.
Train: The nearest train station is Blackrod Train Station.

We have assessed this route and concluded it is not wheelchair accessible due to the terrain and steep uphill gradients
