Life is worth Racing for. Enter Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life and raise money for life-saving cancer research.
Race for Life 5k is a great first challenge, no matter your age or fitness level. Go solo and join hundreds of people on the day, or sign up as a group with friends and family. There's no pressure to finish in a certain time, so walk, jog or run at your own pace and enjoy the atmosphere! However you take part, you're helping to beat cancer.
The start and finish are on grass. The course loops around Stewart Park on the tarmac paths, with some sections on grass, passing by the Captain Cook Birth Place Museum.

Once you sign up for your Race for Life event, you'll receive an email with all the need-to-know details to help you feel fully prepared for the day.
The start and finish lines are situated in the large field next to the car park within Stewart Park.

By car:
General Event Parking: There is limited parking available in the main Stewart Park car park and across the road in Prissick Football Fields.
Drop Offs: Main entrance to Stewart Park.
Blue Badge Parking: Stewart Park car park.
Volunteer Parking: Stewart Park car park or across the road in Prissick Football Fields.
Electric Charging points: Electric charging points are available within the Stewart Park car park.
Public transport and pedestrians:
Pedestrians: Main entrance to Stewart Park.
Bus: The number 63 bus goes past the entrance to the park and runs every 10 minutes from both Middlesbrough and Redcar directions. Find help planning your journey here.
Train: The nearest train station is Marton train station which is a 10 minute walk away.
Cycling & Bike Racks: None available at this event.

This event is recommended as suitable for wheelchair users with assistance due to sections of the course and the start and finish areas being on grass.
We aim for maximum accessibility at our events. Our contact centre and on-site team are ready to assist with any needs or questions you may have.
Sunflower wristbands are available at the enquiries marquee, and our Event Managers are trained Dementia Friends.
A QR code will be available on the main event site to access British Sign Language stage content for those who use BSL.
