Our 3k event offers a single lap route around the landscaped grounds of Temple Newsam, starting and finishing in front of the impressive Tudor-Jacobean mansion.
The terrain is predominantly path with some small sections of flagstone/rubble paths which can be uneven in places. It is generally flat or downhill, but there is a 500m uphill stretch around the 2K point which some people may find challenging. Wheelchair users would likely need assistance to complete this section of the course
There will not be any water refill stations along the course so if you require water during the event, please remember to bring your own reusable water bottle already filled up. You will be able to refill this at the refill station when you finish.
Please arrive 30 to 45 mins before your start time so that you are prepared and ready to go on time.
Our courses have been measured with a measuring wheel. This is the most accurate measurement method and may not always correspond&
The start line is situated in the field directly in front of Temple Newsam House, adjacent to the Courtyard and Animal Farm

Event Site: The start and finish areas are both on the same grass field in front of Temple Newsam House and are within approximately 70m of each other. The field is flat and the ground is solid unless we have experienced substantial rainfall, in which case it could be boggy in places. Wheelchair users can choose to join and finish the race where the grass meets the path (approx. 30m)
The event site is easily accessible from the car park
Course: Please read the course information section regarding the terrain and uphill sections to decide whether you feel this is a suitable course for you
