Course information

The 10k course is a single lap route taking in both The Knavesmire and the perimeter track of The Racecourse, leaving the race course and running out and back up Racecourse Road. The terrain is a mixture of grass and tarmac pathways. Due to the course being partly on grass, it may be slightly muddy underfoot depending on recent weather conditions and can include uneven surfaces.

Please remember to bring your own water bottle already filled as there will be no bottled water provided at events. There will be a water refill station 1/2 around the course and a ScottishPower water refill station will be available to use at the finish.

Please arrive 30 to 45 mins before your start time so that you are prepared and ready to go on time.

Our courses have been measured with a measuring wheel. This is the most accurate measurement method and may not always correspond with digital tracking apps and watches.

Join forces or go solo

You can take part in any Race for Life event as an individual or a group to raise money for life-saving research. Walk, jog or run together in a group or go solo at your own pace, or lead the way as a Group Leader and get family, friends and colleagues involved! However you choose to take part, you’re helping to beat cancer.
