Here's how to get started

Step: 1

Rally your team together

The best way to have fun and raise money for Race for Life is to get together as a group. If you're signed up to a Race for Life event, you can lead the way by becoming a Group Leader and get your family and friends involved.

As Group Leader, your job is to rally your team - we'll even send you a special sticker to show everyone you’re in charge!

By fundraising together, you can raise vital pounds to help us beat cancer.

Get the most out of your Giving Page

Use our top tips to get the most out of your Giving Page:

  • People want to know why you’re raising money, so update your page by adding your story, photos and videos.

  • Share your page on social media and email it to your friends and family.

Get creative with your fundraising

To help you reach your minimum fundraising target of £50, use our fundraising ideas page.

There's loads to help you get started; download social media badges, a sweepstake or email templates and signatures.

Step: 4

Start your training plan

Download one of our six week training plans for some tips on how to make the most of your Race for Life.

You can track your training on Strava, which you can connect to your Giving Page. It’s a great way to share how hard you’ve been training, and research shows that it can boost your fundraising.

You're ready to go!

After all your training and fundraising, it's finally time to take part in Race for Life!

If you're heading to an event day, all the information about your event and its facilities, activities and transport information can be found on your event page, so you can keep track of all of your latest event details.
