The start is approximately a 10 minute walk from the city centre and 15 minutes from Carlisle Train Station. There are a number of bus services that stop just a short walk from Bitts Park.
There is parking available at the Devonshire Walks Car park, just across the road from the start line in Bitts Park. Please note, this is a pay and display car park.
Please use the ‘Plan a Journey’ pages of cumbria.gov.uk to plan your journey.
In dry weather this route is accessible to wheelchair users, but due to the large majority of the course being on grass, assistance is recommended.
In wet weather a large section of the course will be inaccessible to wheelchair users which will significantly reduce the distance. The grassy start/finish area will also be difficult to access.
