Race for Life Pretty Muddy is our brilliant 5k muddy obstacle course. Scramble over the A-frame. Crawl through the mud pit. Have fun with your friends. And raise valuable funds for life-saving research.

Distance: Pretty Muddy 5k
The Carlisle course is predominantly flat all the way round, mostly running on smooth paths and grass, with a short section of woodland trails. You will run around the newly renovated Sheepmount Stadium before heading back into woodlands and the gardens of Bitts Park.
There are a mixture of obstacles along the way including inflatables, climbing, crawling and mud!
Please bring a reusable water bottle with you if you require water during the event, as there will only be water available at the finish.
Remember to bring a towel and change of clothes for the way home!
Please arrive 15 to 20minis before your start time so that you are prepared and ready to go on time
The start and finish lines are situated on the main playing fields of Bitts Park.

The start is approximately a 10 minute walk from the city centre and 15 minutes from Carlisle Train Station. There are a number of bus services that stop just a short walk from Bitts Park.
There is parking available at the Devonshire Walks Car park, just across the road from the start line in Bitts Park. Please note, this is a pay and display car park.

Unfortunately Pretty Muddy is not suitable for wheelchair users due to the nature of the event as an obstacle run.
