Course information

The Watford route is largely flat and is set in the beautiful, family friendly Cassiobury Park. The route enjoys tree-lined paths and grass avenues with a mixture of terrains. There will be no water available on the 5k route, other than at the finish, so please bring your own bottle if you feel you will need it.  

Please arrive 30 to 45mins before your start time so that you are prepared and ready to go on time.

Meeting point

The start line is in the main open field near the paddling pools.

The town centre car parks and Watford underground station are just a short walk away from the park. Buses such as 320, 321 and W1 serve Watford town centre.  Please plan your journey in advance as Cassiobury Park car park is closed all day and there tends to be a lot of congestion in the surrounding roads.

This course has challenging terrain with undulating grass paths and some wooded areas with exposed tree roots. It is mainly flat however, there is a large incline at the end of the course in the area between Cassiobury Park car park and Daisy's café. We advise that this non wheelchair accessible but if you do want to take part, we would strongly recommend that you have assistance.  Please make a self-assessment on your ability to take on this course, as it is one of our more challenging routes.
