The Beautiful Central Park has been the home for Cancer Research UK’s Pretty Muddy event for many years, however in 2023 Central Park might look a little different. The Central Park Ponds Project is underway and visible within the Park, these works will continue to be underway during the Pretty Muddy event in 2023, although building works will not be active during the event times we have had to modify the route to accommodate these works for 2023.
Councillor Bill Wakeham, Cabinet member for the Environment and Street Scene, said: “Central Park has long been one of the city’s most-loved green spaces. These works are essential to ensuring that this part of the park is protected from our ever-changing climate, it will soon flourish into a place where people can come and enjoy the water and the diverse wildlife that the new ponds will encourage.”
The start line is situated close to the entrance of the Central park opposite the Plymouth Life Centre. Please arrive 15 to 20 minutes before your start time so that you are prepared and ready to go on time.
