Course information

The Cheltenham 10K route starts infront of the Grandstand where it runs along the perimeter of Cheltenham’s famous racecourse, crossing the racecourse and looping through the interior before recrossing the racecourse and extending into the nearby fields and returning to the event site to the finish.

The route goes along a combination of grass, woodchip and paths and has some gravel areas with short inclines in places.

 A picturesque venue in the heart of the Cotswolds and a perfect place to take part in Race for Life.

Please arrive 30 to 45mins before your start time so that you are prepared and ready to go on time.

Meeting point

The start line is located in front of the Grandstand buildings.

Free Parking is available at the Racecourse, please follow steward direction and access to the start line is through Gate 21.

The nearest train station is Cheltenham and is about an hour's walk away.

Due to the extremely uneven terrain of the helipad field, which is used for the 10k course, unfortunately this event is not suitable for wheelchair users. The event site is on hardstanding so is accessible for spectators using a wheelchair.

There are blue badge holder parking spaces close to Gate 21 (approx. 90 metres from the event site). The start and finish area is on hardstanding, as is the route from the blue badge parking area.

Supporter / spectator access

We are delighted to welcome spectators to Race for Life so please do bring your family and friends along to cheer you on and support you on the day.

Please bring a filled water bottle with you to your event as we're proactively managing our impact on the environment. We will be removing single-use plastic bottles.
