Course information

The Cardiff route takes a scenic tour around the stunning Bute Park in the heart of the City of Cardiff, following the River Taff into neighbouring Pontcanna Fields. Lush grassy, flat terrain and such close proximity to the attractions of Cardiff Centre make this an extremely popular event with a fantastic atmosphere.

 

Meeting point

The start line is in Coopers Field.  Please arrive 30 to 45 minutes before your start time so that you are prepared and ready to go on time.

Please remember to bring your own water bottle already filled as there will be no bottled water provided at events. ScottishPower water refill stations will be available to use.

Please utilise public transport where you can. There is no specific event parking . Alternitvely please use city centre car parks.

There are various bus stops on Kingsway and Castle Steet however buses run at various times on a Sunday morning. Please go to https://www.cardiffbus.com/services for timetables.

Cathays and Cardiff Central train station are a 15 minute walk away.

This course is predominently on the paths of Bute Park so is wheelchair accessible but can become boggy and uneven in poor weather conditions.

We are delighted to welcome spectators to Race for Life so please do bring your family and friends along to cheer you on and support you on the day.

Please bring a filled water bottle with you to your event as we're proactively managing our impact on the environment. We will be removing single use plastic bottles.
