Race for Life Pretty Muddy is our brilliant 5k muddy obstacle course. Scramble over the A-frame. Crawl through the mud pit. Have fun with your friends. And raise valuable funds for life-saving research.

Our 5k Pretty Muddy event offers a single lap route around the grounds of Graves Park, starting and finishing in front of the Graves Park Animal Farm.
The route takes participants around the boating lake, between the cattle fields, around the cricket fields and through Cobnar Woods. The course terrain is a even mix of path, woodland trials and grass and does involve some hills between 3-4k
Pretty Muddy obstacles are designed to be suitable for all levels of fitness and experience, you can conquer as many or as little as you feel comfortable with.

The event site, start and finish line is in front of Graves Park Animal Farm, near the Rose Garden Café

Pedestrians: Please use the entrance through the Pavilion car park on Cobnar Road. A steward will direct you to the meeting point/start line. Other pedestrian entrances to the park may also be used but please be vigilant as you may cross the course at multiple points on your way to the meeting point/start line.
Travel by Car : Please use the Cobnar Road entrance . Traffic Management signs will direct cars to the car park which will be situated the playing fields in front of the cricket pavilion.
Blue badge parking: Blue badge parking spaces are available at the animal farm entrance on Hemsworth Road, this car park would be most suited to blue badge holders. Alternatively event parking (including blue badge parking) is available at the Cobnar Road entrance. Please note there is a 3 min walk from the main car park to the event site, this includes walking on a path with a gradual incline
Please adhere to the one way system and 5mph restrictions at all times.
Drop-offs: Participants can be dropped off in the allocated zone on Cobnar Road. A steward will direct you.
Public transport: Graves Park is accessible via public transport and is serviced by multiple bus routes.
Bus Services 20 and 20A provide a service every 10 minutes along Derbyshire Lane and Hemsworth Road

Due to the nature of the obstacles and this course route, this event is unfortunately not suitable for wheelchair users.We do however offer a 3K accessible route at this venue on the same weekend.
The event site is on grass with a wide tarmac path running parallel, and we have various accessible spectator points around the course. Blue badge holders can park in the animal farm car park off Hemsworth Road; general event parking is by the cricket pavilion off Cobnar Road- the journey from this car park to the event site does involve a path with a gradual incline.

We have various spectator points around the course which are easily accessible
