The Haydock 3k route is set in the iconic backdrop of the famous racecourse, Haydock Park. The terrain is flat and is a mixture of grass, paths and track. The event has a fantastic atmosphere - you couldn’t ask for a better day out.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation, we’ll be operating a staggered start time in 2021 to ensure your safety on event day. Additional start times may become available as/when needed.
The meeting point is situated in the middle of the racecourse on the farside of the pond. To get there you will need to walk through the famous stands and cross the race track into the centre of the racecourse. Please allow up to 10 minutes for this walk to the event site.
By car: The venue is located just one mile from junction 23 of the M6. The main car park is accessed from the A580 East. For Sat Nav users, please enter the postcode WA12 0HQ.
By train: The nearest train station to Haydock Park Racecourse is Newton-le-Willows, available on trains running from Manchester Piccadilly, Victoria and Oxford Road to Liverpool Lime Street.
By bus: You can get the 620 (St Helens to Hindley Green via Ashton and Haydock) and the 320 (St Helens to Wigan via Ashton and Haydock). Times may vary on Sunday so please check before travel. For journey times please call 0871 200 2233 or go to arrivabus.co.uk.
The course is suitable for wheelchair users, with assistance.
Inviting your friends and family to support you on the day is a great idea, they can share in the joy with you as you cross the finish line and ring the bell. They can also help you with those important things, like holding your belongings whilst you walk, jog or run round the course!
Please note, whilst we hope we can open our events to families and friends supporting on the day, this may not be possible due to government guidelines around COVID-19. We will update on this nearer the time.
