The Maidstone route runs around the lake, through some cross country areas, and along the paths of this beautiful park. The course has a few steep inclines to challenge you and you will feel a sense of achievement once you have finished.
Please arrive 30 to 45 minutes before your start time so that you are prepared and ready to go on time.
There will not be any water refill stations along the course so if you require water during the event, please remember to bring your own reusable water bottle already filled up. You will be able to refill this at the refill station when you finish.
The start and finish area will be located between Mote Park Pavilion cafe, Maidstone Leisure Centre and 'Mote Park Main Children's Playground' (as labelled on Google Maps).
If using what3words, enter ///buyers.visit.invest in the free app, to find the exact starting point.
There will be free of charge parking at the event from 09:15, but we encourage you to consider public transport and car sharing. Please note that there are paid car parks on site accessible from 08:00 which you may also choose to use.
For anyone intending on parking at Mote Park, the designated Race for Life car park opens at 09:15 and will close at 15:00, so please ensure that your vehicle is moved by this time. Any cars left in this car park after this time will be locked in until the following day.
When leaving by car, please exit by turning left onto Willow Way (right turns will cause congestion) then take a right onto Park Way which will take you on to the A229. This will really help car congestion on the day of the event and get you home quickly.
This event is inaccessible for wheelchair users due to a sharp incline on the course. Unfortunately this incline is unavoidable at the venue. If you require any further information on the accessibility of a Race for Life event, or wish to bring a carer/helper to accompany you, please contact our Supporter Hotline on 0300 123 0770 and press 1 when prompted (Opening hours are 8am - 6pm Monday to Friday) or email us at raceforlife@cancer.org.uk
We are delighted to welcome spectators to Race for Life so please do bring your family and friends along to cheer you on and support you on the day.
