Race for Life Pretty Muddy is our brilliant 5k muddy obstacle course. Scramble over the A-frame. Crawl through the mud pit. Have fun with your friends. And raise valuable funds for life-saving research.

Course information

The Norwich Pretty Muddy route is a 5k course on a mixture of grass and paths, winding its way around all areas of the showground.  It is fairly flat, though does pass through a tree lined area. There are several cheering points along the way providing a fantastic atmosphere.

Please arrive 15 to 20 minutes before your start time so that you are prepared and ready to go on time.

Meeting point

To find the meeting point, enter the Showground through the main event entrance and look straight ahead and slightly to the right; you should clearly see the main event area with our marquees, flags and gantry.

Please listen out for your group start time to be called to the stage for your energiser.

The Showground is situated just off the A47 Norwich Southern Bypass at the A1074 Longwater Interchange, follow signs for Norfolk Showground.

Please follow event signs along Dereham Road heading towards Easton.  Turn into Dunham Road (West side of the showground) for access to the car parks and event site.

There is free car parking at the Showground, please follow event signs and directions from the stewards. 

All parking is on grass and a 5 minute walk to the main event area.

The nature of the obstacles means this event is not suitable for wheelchair users.

We are delighted to welcome spectators to Race for Life so please do bring your family and friends along to cheer you on and support you on the day.

Please bring a filled water bottle with you to your event as we're proactively managing our impact on the environment. We will be removing single-use plastic bottles.
