Reading Pretty Muddy Kids
Saturday 25 Sep 2021
£10.00 Children | £0.00 Supervising Adult
Race for Life Pretty Muddy Kids is our brilliant muddy obstacle course just for the little ones. They can take on the obstacles, crawl through the mud pit and have fun with friends, all the while helping raise valuable funds for life-saving research.
Please note, all children taking part must be at least 1.2m tall on day of event.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation, we’ll be operating a staggered start time in 2021 to ensure your safety on event day. Additional start times may become available as/when needed.
The start line can be found by following the pathway across the road from the car park and following signage.
Car parking is available at the venue. Please use the main drive into the park from Liebenrood Road to enter the event parking area on the right hand side of the drive. Stewards will guide you in & out of the venue.
As a result of the higher volume of traffic we do expect some delays in accessing the park. Whist we endeavour to reduce this as much as possible we do ask that you plan to arrive prior to your event start time. We have lots to keep you entertained on the event site prior to your start time.
The nearest station is Reading West which is about a 15 minute walk to Prospect Park.
The Reading route has a fantastic atmosphere as it criss-crosses around the park. The course is mostly on grass but there are also some steep slopes and woodland terrain is also incorporated. Of course, there are all the fun Pretty Muddy obstacles too.
Adults accompanying children will walk or run alongside the course but will not be allowed to take part on the obstacles.
Whilst this event is not accessible for wheelchair users given the nature of the obstacles, the event site is accessible for spectators with wheelchairs. There are blue badge holder parking spaces available in Prospect Park Car Park (on hardstanding). The event site is approximately a 90m walk from this car park and the event site is entirely on grass.
Inviting your friends and family to support you on the day is a great idea, they can share in the joy with you as you cross the finish line and ring the bell. They can also help you with those important things, like holding your belongings whilst you walk, jog or run around the course!
Please note, whilst we hope we can open our events to families and friends supporting on the day, this may not be possible due to government guidelines around COVID-19. We will update on this nearer the time.
