This 5k double lap route starts and finishes within the lovely grounds of Queen's Park and along Boythorpe Avenue. The course is flat and mostly on paths making it accessible to all.
The meeting point and start line is near the bandstand within Queen's Park.
There is no designated event car park at this venue as the park is accessible via a number of public transport routes and public car parks.
The nearest train station is Chesterfield, which is about a 15 minute walk from the start line. There are numerous bus services that run from the surrounding areas into the town centre and onto Park Road and Boythorpe Road that surround Queen's Park.
Car parking is available in a number of public pay and display car parks around the town centre which is just a short walk to Queen's Park.
This 5k course is suitable for wheelchair users as it is mostly on flat paths and some grass areas.
Don't forget to bring your friends and family along to support you. The course is open to spectators so they can stroll around the park or wait to cheer you through the finish line. There will also be some extra activities and items to buy so please remember to bring some spare change.
Queen's Park is open to the general public so may be busy during peak times. Please note Boythorpe Avenue will also be closed for the duration of the event for the safety of our participants.
