Distance: 5k
This 5k double lap course starts and finishes within the lovely grounds of Queen's Park. The route takes in paths through the park and then heads out onto Boythorpe Avenue before returning to Queen's Park for a second lap. The course is flat and mostly on paths, but parts of the route and event site is on grass.
Please arrive 30 to 45mins before your start time so that you are prepared and ready to go on time.
Please remember to bring your own water bottle already filled as there will be no bottled water provided at events. ScottishPower water refill stations will be available to use.
The meeting point start/finish line is near to the bandstand within Queen's Park.

Arriving by public transport : The nearest train station is Chesterfield, which is about a 15 minute walk to the start line. There are numerous bus services that run from the surrounding areas into the town centre and onto Park Road and Boythorpe Road that surround Queen's Park.
Arriving by Car : Car parking is available in a number of public pay and display car parks around the town centre which is just a short walk to Queen's Park. Please note the Queen's Park North Car Park will be closed for the duration of the event but the pay and display car parks on Queen's Park South and Boythorpe Avenue are both still operational as usual. There are a limited number of disabled car park spaces available for blue badge holders in Queen's Park North Car Park.

We would recommend that this event is wheelchair accessible with assistance.
The course and event site is mainly on paths. The route is flat throughout.
The venue is accessible from most entrances with disabled parking available at Queen's Park North car park.
