Race for Life Pretty Muddy Kids is our brilliant muddy obstacle course just for the little ones. They can take on the obstacles, crawl through the mud pit and have fun with friends, all the while helping raise valuable funds for life-saving research.

Please note, all children taking part must be at least 1.2m tall on day of event.

Meeting point

The meeting point is in the field adjacent to the West Car Park of the Royal Highland Centre.

The Royal Highland Centre sits off Glasgow Road (A8) between the Newbridge roundabout and the A8/Airport roundabout. There is a £5 charge for parking at this venue which is payable at the gate.

Course information

The Pretty Muddy Edinburgh course is a single-lap flat route weaving through the truly unique Scottish venue of the Royal Highland Centre with plenty of spectator points along the way.

All of our Pretty Muddy Kids events are approximately 5km. Adults accompanying children will run alongside the course but will not be allowed to take part on the obstacles.

Unfortunately Pretty Muddy is not suitable for wheelchair users due to the nature of the event as an obstacle run.

Supporter / spectator access

Don’t forget to bring your friends and family along to support you. They can enjoy the activities in the main event area, get some delicious food and cheer you through an array of obstacles including the Durdles and infamous Mud Chute. The course is completely open to spectators with lots of opportunities to see you overcoming the challenging obstacles.
