The Bath 10k route winds itself around the park, Royal Avenue, and surrounding areas. This is a two lap course which gives spectators the opportunity to move around the course to watch runners on multiple occasions. The terrain is varied but mostly on paved paths with some grass areas and a few hilly sections. Central and picturesque, this is a venue with ample space and opportunity for families to spectate and enjoy the wonderful atmosphere of Race for Life.
The start line is on Royal Victoria Park in the middle of Royal Avenue.
There is no official car park for this event, however Charlotte Street Car Park (Pay & Display) is situated a close walk away, other city centre car parks can be used and there's also Park & Ride.
Bath Park & Ride services open up earlier than usual to support Race for Life. The first bus from all sites will be at 7.30am and buses operate every 15 minutes throughout the day up to 6.00pm. From Newbridge Park & Ride site, service 21 stops at Park Lane which is at the corner of Royal Victoria Park. Return buses stop on the opposite side of Upper Bristol Road. Find out more details on all the Bath P&R services at http://www.bathnes.gov.uk/services/parking-and-travel/park-and-ride. We are grateful to First and the Bath Park & Ride for their support in operating extended hours on race day.
Road closures and car parking suspension will be in place for the event. Car parking will be suspended on Royal Avenue Saturday and all day Sunday so it will be clear and safe for the event route. Marlborough Road and Royal Avenue will be closed in advance and during the event too. Please see advance warnings around the park and diversions on the day.

They can stroll around the stalls and activities we'll have - including refreshments, a bouncy castle, and facepainting - and then listen to the music as they wait to cheer you through the finish. Then afterwards you can stay, perhaps have a picnic in the park and reflect on your achievement and reason for taking part.
We’re working with Wessex Water to provide a sustainable water solution at this event – they’re on a mission to get everyone in the region hydrated and feeling great throughout 2019.
Please note there will not be bottled water available at the finish.
Please bring your own refillable bottle to the event in order to top up from the Wessex Water Hydrate Feel Great Free Refill Points, which will be situated in the main event area. Wessex Water will also have a limited supply of their Refillable Water Bottles to give away on the day.
