The route is all on paved ground, paths and tarmac and is reasonably flat aside from the hill towards the Open Air Theatre.

Meeting point

The start is situated in the Scarborough Sealife Centre Car park.

There is plenty of pay and display car parking close by to the Sealife Centre; off Burniston road near the Open Air Theatre/ Miniature Railway Station/ Peasholm Park. Due to Scalby Mills road and Royal Albert Drive being closed for the event, the Sealife Centre car park and on road car parking along the promenade will not be available.

The nearest train station is North Bay Miniature Railway which runs an evening service from Peasholm to Scalby Mills; timetable can be found here https://nbr.org.uk/tickets-and-fares/
