Race for Life Pretty Muddy Kids is our brilliant muddy obstacle course just for the little ones. They can take on the obstacles, crawl through the mud pit and have fun with friends, all the while helping raise valuable funds for life-saving research.

Please note, all children taking part must be at least 1.2m tall on day of event.

Meeting point

The start line is on the south side of the park, behind the boating lake reception.

Limited parking will be available in the south and north Stanborough Park car parks. Please be aware that parking fees apply here and cameras will be in operation. Follow the instructions on the payment machines as to how to activate the Race for Life discounted parking rate.

Course information

The Welwyn and Hatfield Pretty Muddy Kids route is set within the grounds of the beautiful Stanborough Park and includes a number of uphill and downhill grassy slopes, as well as three shallow river crossings. Parents and guardians need to be prepared to go through the river and get wet too!

Please arrive 15 to 20 minutes before your start time so that you are prepared and ready to go on time.

There will be a water refill station at the finish but no water stations along the course, so if you require water during the event, please remember to bring your own reusable water bottle already filled up.

Due to the nature of this event and the obstacles on the course, it is deemed not suitable for wheelchair users. The nearby Stevenage Race for Life is suitable for wheelchair users with assistance.

We are delighted to welcome spectators to Race for Life so please do bring your family and friends along to cheer you on and support you on the day.

Please bring a filled water bottle with you to your event as we're proactively managing our impact on the environment. We will be removing single-use plastic bottles.
