Course information

The Glasgow Pretty Muddy course is a flat route around the picturesque Strathclyde Loch. Starting just by the Watersports Centre, the route heads up to the north end of the Loch before heading back down the eastern shores before finishing by the Sandy Beach and children’s playpark. There are a mixture of obstacles along the way including inflatables, climbing, crawling and mud!

Please bring a reusable water bottle with you if you require water during the event, as there will only be water available at the finish.

Remember to bring a towel and change of clothes for the way home!

Please remember to bring your own water bottle already filled as there will be no bottled water provided at events. ScottishPower water refill stations will be available to use.

Please arrive 15 to 20 minutes before your start time so that you are prepared and ready to go on time.

Meeting point

The start line will be situated on the grass area next to the Watersports Centre within Strathclyde Country Park.

If using what3words, enter ///branded.wrong.dimes in the free app, the find the exact starting point.  The finish line will be across the loch, next the to Beach Car Park.

Please remember to bring your own water bottle already filled as there will be no bottled water provided at events. ScottishPower water refill stations will be available to use.

To reduce our impact on the environment, we would encourage the use of public transport where possible. Motherwell Train Station is approx. 25 minutes from the start line. There is a bus stop just outside the south side of the park, on Strathclyde Road. Please plan your journey using www.travelinescotland.com.

If you are travelling to the event by car, please ensure you use junction 6 of the M74. This is due to internal road closures within the park which mean event parking is only accessible via the south entrance of Strathclyde Country Park. Do not use the north entrance (near M&D's) as these car parks are a 35 minute walk to the start line.

Please remember to bring your own water bottle already filled as there will be no bottled water provided at events. ScottishPower water refill stations will be available to use.
