The Weston-super-Mare route includes the beach and the Promenade. The course is fairly flat over a mixture of terrain and features lovely views of the sea and across Somerset. A great atmosphere and all the fun of the seaside, all in one location.
The start line will be on the Beach Lawns, opposite the Tropicana. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation, we’ll be operating a staggered start time in 2021 to ensure your safety on event day. Additional start times may become available as/when needed.
There is plenty of parking for this event, either on Marine Parade or using Royal Sands Beach car park which is about a 5-10 minute walk from the event.
There is a train station in Weston-super-Mare on the outskirts of the town. The event is about a 20 minute walk away from the station, or you could carpool in a taxi with friends.
Unfortunately this event is not suitable for Wheelchair users as the event site and a large element of the course is on sand.
If you require any further information on the accessibility of a Race for Life event, or wish to bring a carer/helper to accompany you, please contact our Supporter Hotline on 0300 123 0770 and press 1 when prompted (Opening hours are 8am - 6pm Monday to Friday) or email us at email@example.com
Inviting your friends and family to support you on the day is a great idea, they can share in the joy with you as you cross the finish line and ring the bell. They can also help you with those important things, like holding your belongings whilst you walk, jog or run round the course!
Please note, whilst we hope we can open our events to families and friends supporting on the day, this may not be possible due to government guidelines around COVID-19. We will update on this nearer the time.
We will be giving away bottled water at the finish line. But due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic and our plans to reduce single use plastics at our events we encourage participants to bring their own water or hydration fluids on the day.
