Course information

The High Wycombe 10k route begins on a mixture of grassland and pathways with a flat 'out and back' route around The Rye, followed by some steep woodland sections in the grounds of Wycombe Abbey School. Expect mixed terrain and remember - what goes up must come down!

Please bring a reusable water bottle with you if you require water during the event, as there will only be water available at approximately 5km and at the finish.

Meeting point

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation, we’ll be operating a staggered start time in 2021 to ensure your safety on event day. Additional start times may become available as/when needed.

The start and finish area is in the part of The Rye near Busy Bee's Nursery.

There is no event car parking at The Rye but there are numerous town centre car parks available, which are just a short walk from the start and finish area. Please refer to the High Wycombe District Council website for more information on these.

High Wycombe train station is a 10 minute walk from the venue. Please see Chiltern Railways for train times. The station also has a multistorey car park.

Unfortunately this event is not deemed suitable for wheelchair users due to the terrain of The Rye and Wycombe Abbey. Nearly all of the route is on grass or woodland paths and there are particularly steep sections within the ground of Wycombe Abbey. The ground can also become boggy in poor weather conditions.

For spectators who are wheelchair users, there is blue badge parking at The Rye.

Supporter / spectator access

Inviting your friends and family to support you on the day is a great idea, they can share in the joy with you as you cross the finish line and ring the bell.  They can also help you with those important things, like holding your belongings whilst you walk, jog or run around the course!

Please note, whilst we hope we can open our events to families and friends supporting on the day, this may not be possible due to government guidelines around COVID-19. We will update on this nearer the time.
