10k is a great step up from our 5k events, that's still achievable for everyone. Join a Race for Life 10k event and help raise valuable funds for cancer-beating research.

Course information

The course is 2 laps of the 5k route. The route starts in Lower Gardens heading towards the seafront before turning up East Cliff Slope before joining East Overcliff Drive. The route turns off before Manor Road to head down a slope into Boscombe Gardens leading onto Boscombe Promenade. The route then turns around to head back along Undercliff Drive to the finish located on the seafront.

Meeting point

The start line is located in The Lower Gardens.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation, we’ll  be operating a staggered start time in 2021 to ensure your safety on event day. Additional start times may become available as and when needed.

Please arrive no earlier than 15 minutes before your start time.

There is limited parking near Pier Approach in Bath Road North and Bath Road South car parks. Please plan your journey and use city centre car parks or public transport where possible. Bournemouth train station is a 20 minute walk away.

To abide by social distancing rules, the 2021 route now goes up East Cliff Slope and down a slope into Boscombe Gardens. Due to these changes the route is no longer wheelchair accessible. 

We plan to return to the wheelchair accessible route in 2022.

Disabled / accessibility parking is available in Bath Road North or South Car Park. 

Please note there is no allocated drop of point for the event.

Supporter / spectator access

Please note, whilst we hope we can open our events to families and friends supporting on the day, this may not be possible due to government guidelines around COVID-19. We will update on this nearer the time.

We will be giving away bottled water at the finish line. But due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic and our plans to reduce single use plastics at our events we encourage participants to bring their own water or hydration fluids on the day.
