The Wakefield 5k Pretty Muddy course is a single lap route mostly on grass and paths. The course is contained within the three parks; Clarence, Holmfield and Thornes Parks. The course itself is not entirely flat; the highest point is the top of the hill, opposite the old Wakefield College. The lowest is the southern boundary of the parks which runs parallel to Thornes and Denby Dale Roads.
The route is undulating in parts with an occasional slight incline. Due to the course being on grass, it may be slightly muddy underfoot depending on recent weather conditions.
There are a mixture of obstacles along the way including inflatables, climbing, crawling and mud!
Remember to bring a towel and change of clothes for the way home!

The meeting point and start line is within Thornes Park in a field that runs alongside Lawefield Lane near the playground. The finish line will also be within a similar vicinity.
