The Doncaster 5k course is a single lap route mostly on flat grass with the occasional slight incline. The route starts and finishes in the middle of the playing fields and takes a full lap around the perimeter of Town Fields. Due to the course being on grass, it may be slightly muddy underfoot depending on recent weather conditions.
Please remember to bring your own water bottle already filled as there will be no bottled water provided at events. ScottishPower water refill stations will be available to use.
The meeting point and start line is within the park of Town Fields, on the playing fields behind the Pavillion. The finish line will also be within the similar vacinity.

Please remember to bring your own water bottle already filled as there will be no bottled water provided at events. ScottishPower water refill stations will be available to use.
There is no event parking available at the venue, but there is limited roadside parking available on Town Moor Avenue and Bennetthorpe.
Disabled access and drop off point would be recommended at the lay-by on Thorne Road.
The nearest train station is Doncaster Rail Station and there are a number of buses that run along Thorne Road, Town Moor Avenue and Bennetthorpe - all of which are accessible to Town Fields.
We would recommend that this event is wheelchair accessible with assistance. The course and event site is all on grass, mostly flat with the occasional slight incline so those with accessibility issues may require assistance on the uneven surfaces. However, the grass may become boggy in poor weather conditions, so an alternative shorter double lap route on the paths may be taken on the day if the grounds are unsuitable.
The venue is accessible from most entrances, however disabled parking would be recommended at the lay-by on Thorne Road or along Town Moor Avenue.
