Course information
This double lap course weaves through Town Moor and continues along the Great North Road before entering the Town Moor once again. A small section runs along Grandstand Road before participants return to the event site on the Town Moor. The Newcastle route is a flat course on mixed terrain including paths, road and some small sections on grass. The main event site is on grass so may be slightly muddy underfoot depending on recent weather conditions.
Please arrive 30 to 45 minutes before your start time so that you are prepared and ready to go on time.
Please remember to bring your own water bottle already filled as there will be no bottled water provided at events. ScottishPower water refill stations will be available to use.
Meeting point
The start and finish lines are situated within the Town Moor on the field adjacent to the Claremont Road bridge and Exhibition Park.

No event parking is available at this venue. Please use city centre car parks or public transport where possible. Limited roadside parking is available on Claremont Road.

This event is recommended as suitable for wheelchair users with assistance due to terrain that can be very difficult to navigate. The majority of the course utilises the paths of the Town Moor which are surfaced with large stones, thus creating long sections of uneven terrain. The main event site and some small sections of course are on grass so may be slightly muddy underfoot depending on recent weather conditions. The course can be adapted to avoid grass sections. Please speak to a member of staff on the day for details for alternatives routes.
