Race for Life Pretty Muddy Kids is our brilliant muddy obstacle course just for the little ones. They can take on the obstacles, crawl through the mud pit and have fun with friends, all the while helping raise valuable funds for life-saving research.

Please note, all children taking part must be at least 1.2m tall on day of event.

Meeting point

The start line is in the field behind Crossborough car park near the play park.

Please use public transport to get to the event as there is no parking on site.

From Basingstoke train station it is a 30min walk to the start line.

You can catch Bus 17  and walk 5 minutes up crossbourough gardens to the start line.

Bus 10, 12 & 13 also stop at Applegarth Close, this is approx 3minutes to the start line.

 

There are a number of car parks locally these are: -

- Southern Road car park - 5min walk

- Castons car park - 6min walk

- Castons Yard - 5min walk

- Joices Yard - 8min walk

Please be aware that parking in Crossborough car park is for blue badge holders only.

Course information

The Basingstoke Pretty Muddy Kids route is around the War Memorial Park. Travelling along grass and country paths; this course is mostly flat but with mixed terrain and a small incline near the end.

The Pretty Muddy Kids route is the same as the Pretty Muddy adults event. A parent or guardian are required to take part with children for Pretty Muddy Kids and stay with them throughout the course where possible. 1 adult can take part with up to 3 children. Adults must run alongside children, but not go on the obstacles themselves. Accompanying adults are required to wear the same running number as their children for safety reasons.

Please arrive 15 to 20 minutes before your start time so that you are prepared and ready to go on time.

Unfortunately this event is not deemed suitable for wheelchair or pushchair users. The course is all on grass which can become boggy in poor weather and in some sections of the course there are narrow paths which are not suitable for wheelchairs or pushchairs.

We are delighted to welcome spectators to Race for Life so please do bring your family and friends along to cheer you on and support you on the day.

Please bring a filled water bottle with you to your event as we're proactively managing our impact on the environment. We will be removing single-use plastic bottles.
