Due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation, we’ll be operating a staggered start time in 2021 to ensure your safety on event day. Additional start times may become available as/when needed.
The start and finish area is on the grass alongside the south lake, between the splash park, One4Six cafe and Premier Inn.
There will be a limited amount of free parking for participants in Newlands, across Brickhill Street - just a few minute's walk from the start area. Please follow the temporary yellow signage to this event car park and then the footpath signs which will lead you to the event site. When this car park fills up, there will be space to park in the Willen Lake car parks, but please be aware that normal parking charges will apply.
Please car share where possible and consider using public transport.
This course travels around the scenic and lively Willen Lake pathways, taking in grassland and woodland areas. There is plenty of variety and beautiful views around the course.
Adults accompanying children will walk or run alongside the course but will not be allowed to take part on the obstacles.
Remember to bring a towel and change of clothes for the way home!
Whilst this event is not accessible for wheelchair users given the nature of the obstacles, the event site is accessible for spectators with wheelchairs. There are blue badge holder parking spaces available in Willen Lake car park (charges apply) and the north bay car park is only around 100m from the start/finish area. If the grass is boggy from wet weather, there are paths all around the outside of the event site.
Inviting your friends and family to support you on the day is a great idea, they can share in the joy with you as you cross the finish line and ring the bell. They can also help you with those important things, like holding your belongings whilst you walk, jog or run around the course!
Please note, whilst we hope we can open our events to families and friends supporting on the day, this may not be possible due to government guidelines around COVID-19. We will update on this nearer the time
