The Blackburn 3k course is a single lap route mostly on flat grass with the occasional slight incline. The route starts and finishes on the field near the play area and takes a full lap around the park, and involves crossing Tower Road which will be managed by stewards for participant and public safety. If you require any further information on the accessibility of a Race for Life event, or wish to bring a carer/helper to accompany you, please contact our Supporter Hotline on 0300 123 0770 and press 1 when prompted (Opening hours are 8am - 6pm Monday to Friday) or email us at raceforlife@cancer.org.uk

We would advise that this event is wheelchair accessible but with assistance. The event site is on grass and is a 3 minute walk from the nearest car park (venue car park). The course is predominantly on grass which can become boggy in wet conditions with some sections using pre-existing paths. The course is mainly flat but there are sections of the course that are slightly uphill. It also narrows in some sections due to access gates and the two way traffic of participants.

Supporter / spectator access

We are delighted to welcome spectators to Race for Life so please do bring your family and friends along to cheer you on and support you on the day.

Please bring a filled water bottle with you to your event as we're proactively managing our impact on the environment. We will be removing single-use plastic bottles.
