How we are keeping you safe
As always at our events the health and safety of our participants, staff and volunteers is our top priority.
We will continue to monitor the situation closely and keep you updated with our planning, much of which will focus on how we deliver a safe event in the context of all necessary COVID-19 guidelines and precautions.
Our events may look a little different to usual, but we are working proactively with our venues and suppliers to deliver a great experience on site.
What is Race for Life?
The Race for Life is Cancer Research UK’s biggest series of fundraising events.
Taking place across the UK, the events include 3k, 5k and 10k routes for participants to walk, jog or run, as well as our Pretty Muddy obstacle events.
Started more than 25 years ago as a women-only event, Race for Life has grown into a series of hundreds of events across the country, raising nearly £500 million towards beating cancer over the last quarter of a century.
In 2019, for the first time, the Race for Life opened its doors to men to participate too, making it truly inclusive, and giving people the chance to come together with their family and friends, and join the movement to beat cancer.
Why join the Race for Life?
Every two minutes, someone in the UK is diagnosed with cancer. Your support, through events like the Race for Life, is what helps us continue our ground-breaking work to see more people surviving cancer.
Cancer Research UK are world leaders in finding new ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer.
We receive no government funding for our research. We rely on the funds raised by fantastic people like you, which is why we ask all of our partipants to raise a minimum of £50.
