Race for Life at Home - join our virtual event on 24th April

For a reason to get off the sofa, for stretching our legs. For the people we love, for the people we’ve lost, for the people who’ve had vital cancer treatments delayed. For all these reasons, and a million more, we will Race for Life wherever we are.

How do I take part?

The Race for Life at home is a 5k, which you can run, walk or jog wherever you are. Simply sign up and we will set up your fundraising page, plus send you your fundraising pack and medal in the post.

Once you've signed up, follow these simple steps to get going...

  1. Edit and share your Online Fundraising page and let all of your friends and family know you are taking part. Did you know if you set a target on your fundraising page, you can raise 46% more sponsorship!

 

  1. Join our Facebook group and become a part of the Race for Life at Home community

 

  1. Tune in to our live stream at 11am on Saturday April 24th

 

  1. Run, walk or jog your 5K on April 24th or whenever is convenient for you!

 

  1. Wear your medal with pride! Why not share a picture of yourself to get in those donations? Don’t forget to use #RaceatHome

 

The Race for Life at Home Live Stream

Do your 5k on April 24th when you can join us for our Race for Life at Home live stream, starting at 11am. The live stream is where all our participants can unite and get energised together before doing their 5k. Tune in for:

  • A celebrity host
  • Information on how your fundraising makes a difference
  • Q&As with some special people close to the charity
  • ...and a few extra things up our sleeve!

Keep an eye out on this page and also your emails too for simple instructions on how to join the stream. Don't worry if you miss it, the stream will be recorded for you to watch at any time you like.

Running for a Very 2020 Race for Life

Whether it's from your local park or back garden, there's a few things you can do to make sure you're getting the most from your Race for Life at Home:

  • Connect your Strava account to your Giving Page so your miles will automatically appear on your page after your race, allowing friends and family see you get closer your goal.

  • Need help training? Download our detailed 5k training plans

  • If you can't do your Race for Life at Home on April 24th, you can still take part. Race for Life at Home will be open for entries throughout the year so you can do your 5k at another time that suits you - you will still get your fundraising pack and medal.
