About the 5k event

The original and most popular Race for Life event, the 5k is an entry-level distance and an achievable first challenge for most. At just over 3 miles it can take about an hour to complete on average, but there's no pressure to finish in a certain time. Walk, jog, run or make your way around the course however suits you to fund life-saving research.
On the day

While your entry fee covers the cost of your event, it's the money you raise that will fund vital research and see more people surviving cancer.

We reccomend the course is wheelchair accesible but with assistance. Please be mindful that although this course is flat, over 50% is on grass with no path alternative so assistance may be required, especially weather dependant. This also includes the same for pushchairs, the route is mainly flat with a small incline over a bridge, therefore please do consider this, espeically in boggy weather
