Course information

The Stirling 5k route is situated within the grounds of the University of Stirling. You will enjoy the picturesque landscape and a mixed terrain including grass, pathways and a small hill when approaching the golf course. You will pass the beautiful Airthey Loch, taking in the view of the Wallace Monument before heading towards the athletics track to finish. The main event site is on grass so may be slightly muddy underfoot depending on recent weather.

There will not be any water refill stations along the course so if you require water during the event, please remember to bring your own reusable water bottle already filled up. A ScottishPower water refill station will be available to use at the finish.

Please arrive 30 to 45 mins before your start time so that you are prepared and ready to go on time.

Our courses have been measured with a measuring wheel. This is the most accurate measurement method and may not always correspond with digital tracking apps and wa

Unfortunately this event is not suitable for wheelchair users due to a large section of course utilising the fields of the golf course and rugby pitches. The course can be adapted by continuing on the path around the loch and not turning onto the golf course, however this will reduce the route to approximately 3.5k. On event day, please approach the blue admin tent to discuss this adjustment further. The event site, start and end of the course is also on uneven grass which could make conditions difficult in bad weather.
